WoW Jewelcrafting Guide

Jewelcrafting is a very useful profession to pick up in WoW, it is also very expensive to level and will take a lot of time to gather your own materials if you don’t have enough gold to just buy the materials. If you do decide to take this route and gather your own materials you will need to pick up the mining profession. You can try to sell the items that you create with jewelcrafting but a lot of the lower level items wont sell quite as easily.

1-30

Delicate Copper Wire x 30: Acquire 60 Copper Bars either from the Auction House or by minning Copper Ore from many places including The Barrens, Dun Morogh, Durotar, Elwynn Forest, or Eversong Woods. After mining the Ore then smelt it into Copper Bars. Also you should keep the Copper Wire for later use.

Tigerseye Band x 20: Acquire 20 Tigerseye from the Auction House, there is nowhere to efficiently farm this item so your best bet is the AH. You will also use the 20 Delicate Copper Wire that you just made in the process of making these.

Learn Journeyman Jewelcrafting

50-80

Bronze Setting x 50: Acquire 100 Bronze Bar. You can either get these from the Auction House or go through a lot of mining and smelting, first of all you will need to mine 50 Copper Ore and smelt 50 Copper Bars (for mining locations on Copper refer to 1-30) and then mine 50 Tin Ore in places like The Barrens, Hillsbrad Foothills, or Redridge Mountains and then smelt these into 50 Tin Bars and use the 50 Copper/Tin Bars to create 100 Bronze bars. You should also hang on to the Bronze Settings for later use.

80-100

Gloom Band x 20: Use 20 of the Bronze Setting that you just made, and Acquire 40 Delicate Copper Wire either from the Auction House or you can make these yourself (refer to 1-30 for more information) You will also need to acquire 40 Shadowgem which there is no ideal place to farm these so you will need to pick them up in the Auction House.

100-110

Ring of Twilight Shadows x 10: Acqure 20 Shadowgem which as mentioned above cannot be farmed very successfuly so you will need to turn to the Auction House and also acquire 20 Bronze Bar either from the Auction House or with mining (see 50-80 for more info on creating Bronze Bars)

Heavy Stone Statue x 10: Acquire 80 Heavy Stone either from the Auction House or from mining Iron Deposits in Arathi Highlands, Stranglethorn Vale, or Thousand Needles. You can also try farming these off of Elemental Slaves in Alterac Mountains or Searing Infernals in Ashenvale. Either method has about a 40% chance of receiving a Heavy Stone drop.

Purchase Design: Pendant of the Agate Shield from either Jandia in Thousand Needles or Neal Allen in Wetlands.

Pendant of the Agate Shield x 30: Acquire 30 Moss Agate from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these and use 30 of the Bronze Settings you created earlier to create 30 of these.

Mithril Filigree x 55: Acquire 110 Mithril Bars either from the Auction House or from Mining Mithril Ore from Mithril Deposits in The Hinterlands, Tanaris, Badlands, or Searing Gorge and then smelt these into Mithril Bars. Also make sure you save your Mithril Filigrees.

Engraved Truesilver Ring x 20: Acquire 20 Truesilver Bar either from the Auction House or from mining Truesilver Deposits for Truesilver Ore in The Hinterlands, Tanaris, or Winterspring. Then smelt these ores into bars and use 40 of the Mithril Filigrees you made earlier to create 20 of these rings.

Citrine Ring of Rapid Healing x 25: Acquire 25 Citrine from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these as well as 50 Mithril Bars from the Auction House or you can create your own (refer to 150-180 for more information)

Aquamarine Pendant of the Warrior x 5: Acquire 5 Aquamarine from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these and use the remaining 15 Mithril Filigrees that you created earlier to create 5 of these.

Thorium Setting x 60: Acquire 60 Thorium Bar either from the Auction House or from mining various Thorium Veins in Silithus, Un’Goro Crater, Feralas, Winterspring, or Plaguelands and then smelting these ore into bars to create the Thorium Settings which you should keep for later use.

Ruby Pendant of Fire x 15: Use 15 of the Thorium Settings you just created and acquire 15 Star Ruby from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these.

260-280

Simple Opal Ring x 20: Use 20 of the Thorium Settings you just created and acquire 20 Large Opal from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these.

Onslaught Ring x 10: Acquire 10 Powerful Mojo either from the AH or from killing bosses in Zul’Gurub (I recommend the AH unless there is none in there) also Acquire 10 Essence of Earth from the AH and use 10 Thorium Settings to create these rings.

Emerald Lion Ring x 10: Acquire 20 Huge Emeralds from the AH as there is no ideal place to farm these and use 10 more Thorium Settings to create these rings.

Prismatic Black Diamond x 15: Acquire 15 Black Diamonds from either the AH or killing mobs in the Blackrock Depths Instance.

315-320

Cut 5-7 of any gem recipies that are yellow to you (purchase the gems on the AH)

320-325

Make 5-7 more of any gem recipies that are yellow/orange to you and purchase the gems on the AH.

325-335

Make 15 of any gem recipies that are yellow/orange to you and purchase the gems on the AH.

335-340

Make 5-7 of any gem recipies that are yellow/orange to you and purchase the gems on the AH.

340-350

Heavy Adamantite Ring x 5-7: Acquire 5-7 Adamantite Bars either from the AH or mining Adamantite deposits for 10-14 Adamantite ore in places like Nagrand, Netherstorm, or Shadowmoon Valley. Acquire 5-7 Mercirual Adamantite from the AH or create your own if you have the materials.

Learn Grand Master Jewelcrafting

350-395

You will need to purchase around 60 gems and cut them for these levels, cut any that are orange to you until 375 they will become yellow but you will need to continue cutting it until you have rached 395.

395-400

Crystal Citrine Necklace x 5: Acquire 5 Huge Citrine and 10 Cristallyzed Earth from the Auction House as there is no ideal place to farm these.

400-420

Stoneguard Band x 23: Acquire 46 Eternal Earth from the Auction House as there is no ideal palce to farm this.

420-425

Dazzling Forest Emerald x 7: Acquire 7 Forest Emerald from the AH and make 7 of these.

425-440

You will need to buy 15 of either Skyflare or Earthsiege Diamonds or cut other peoples for these levels, you can always buy your own, cut them, and sell them on the AH for potential profit.

440-450

Just continue to cut any meta gems for these levels, there’s no point to continue powerleveling.
