WoW Fishing Leveling Guide 1-450
Before you begin leveling your fishing, you might want to consider leveling your cooking at the same time. Cooking and Fishing go hand in hand and if you level one you will want to level the other. If you don’t, you will wish you did. The fish you loot along the way will feed right into leveling your cooking. So it makes it worth while to do both at the same time.
We also have a cooking leveling guide, you can check it out here.
When it comes to leveling your Fishing, it is one of the easiest professions to level. All you have to do is repeat the same process over and over again. You cast your line, wait for a fish, catch the fish, and then repeat. The trick to the entire process is having cutting down traveling time, and just fishing. Most players start in their starting zone, or in low level waters, and they move around. But in this guide we will show you the quickest way to level from 1-450 with your fishing.
Fishing 1-450
Before you start requirements:
-Level 10 (to train)
-Wrath of the Lich King
-About 50-75g (to train and purchase poles/baubles)
-Basic Fishing Pole (from any fishing supplies, or most trade good vendors)
Once you have the beginning requirements you are all set and ready to level from 1-450.
You will want to travel to Howling Fjord starting city. For Alliance this is Valgarde, and for horde its Vengeance Landing. Once you are here head to your Fishing Trainer and train the first level of fishing.
Alliance Trainer: Byron Welwick
Horde Trainer: Angelina Soren
Right by the fishing trainers is a spot of water where you can level your fishing. Cast your rod, waiting for the fish to bite, and click on the bauble to catch the fish.
Important: Make sure you don’t forget to train! Here are the training levels:
-Apprentice: Level 1
-Journeyman: Level 75
-Expert: Level 150
-Artisan: Level 225
-Master: Level 300
-Grand Master: Level 375
That’s just about it. It usually takes about 8-12 hours of fishing to go from level 1 to 450. This is the quickest way possible and can be done by anyone level 10+. Don’t worry about what you catch, when you are leveling it’s all about casting that line and catching the fish. It will continue to give you skill ups even if you don’t catch fish.
While this is the quickest way to level 450, it’s not the most efficient. Alternatively you might want to collect fish to feed your cooking, or you might be using fish to make gold. For that you should check out other guides on this site, or check out our wow cooking guide here.
